After more than three years and a serious injury, Elena Curtoni returned to the top of the podium in an Alpine Ski World Cup event. The last time she won a race was in a Downhill in St. Moritz in December 2022.

After claiming her first Alpine Ski World Cup win and podium yesterday, Laura Pirovano repeated at the top of the podium in Val di Fassa in a super close race. The 28-year-old Italian ski triumphed again by the narrowest of margins, just 0.01 seconds ahead of Austria's Cornelia Hütter. Corinne Suter finished in third place, 0.05 seconds behind.

Sofia Goggia won the second Alpine Ski World Cup Super-G event held in Soldeu, Andorra. The 33-year-old Italian won her second race of the 2025-2026 winter season. Emma Aicher finished in second position, 0.24 seconds behind Goggia, to achieve her 10th podium in the 2025-2026 Alpine Ski World Cup season. Kajsa Vickhoff Lie rounded up the podium in third place, 0.31 seconds behind the winner.

Mikaela Shiffrin secured the gold medal in the Women's Slalom event at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. In the last race of the Games, Shiffrin finished 1.50 seconds ahead of Camille Rast and 1.71 seconds ahead of Anna Swenn Larsson

In another remarkable performance, Mikaela Shiffrin triumphs by over one second in the Slalom at the Alpine Ski World Cup in Spindleruv Mlyn. Camille Rast finished in second place, 1.67 seconds behind Shiffrin. Emma Aicher rounded out the podium in third place, 1.33 seconds behind the Swiss.

Sara Hector returned today to the top of the podium in Giant Slalom for the first time this season. The 33-year-old Swedish skier celebrated her 8th Alpine Ski World Cup victory ahead of Paula Moltzan (+0.18) and Mikaela Shiffrin (+0.23).

Julia Scheib has achieved her fourth victory and sixth podium finish in the Giant Slalom for the 2025-2026 winter season. After finishing third in the first run, she delivered another master class, securing the best time in the second run. After seven races, Scheib boasts four wins and two second-place finishes. Camille Rast finished in second place, 0.37 seconds behind Scheib, while Sara Hector, the fastest skier in the first run, completed the podium, finishing 0.46 seconds

Every year in mid-January, the best Women's Slalom racers meet for the Night Slalom at the Hermann Maier racecourse in Flachau.

Camille Rast achieves a double victory in Kranjska Gora, ending Mikaela Shiffrin's dominance in the Alpine Ski World Cup Slalom season. The Swiss set the best time in both runs and resisted the furious attack of the US skier in the second run. Rast was 0.14 seconds faster, and after five victories, Shiffrin had to concede the victory to the Swiss skier. Camille Rast achieved her first victory in the Alpine Ski World Cup Giant Slalom at Kranjska Gora. Julia Scheib finished in second place, just 0.20 seconds behind Rast, marking her fifth podium finish in the Giant Slalom for the 2025-2026 winter season. Paula Moltzan secured third place, finishing 0.47 seconds behind the Swiss skier.

Twenty-three events in January 2026, including the Adelboden, Wengen, and Kitzbuehel Classics, make this month one of the most exciting times on the Alpine Ski World Cup calendar. Adelboden, Wengen, and Kitzbuehel are the only venues that have been part of the World Cup since its foundation in 1967.

Mikaela Shiffrin secured her fifth victory of the season in the Women's Night Slalom event at the Alpine Ski World Cup in Semmering. This win in the last race of 2025 marked her 106th career World Cup victory and her 69th in Slalom. Shiffrin finished just 0.09 seconds ahead of Camille Rast and 0.57 seconds ahead of Lara Colturi.

Mikaela Shiffrin secured another dominant victory in the Women's Night Slalom event at the Alpine Ski World Cup in Courchevel. She claimed her 105th World Cup victory, her 68th in Slalom. Shiffrin finished 1.55 seconds ahead of Camille Rast and 1.71 seconds ahead of Emma Aicher.

After the speed races in St. Moritz, Courchevel (France) will host a Night Slalom on December 16th in the Émile-Allais Stadium, located in Courchevel 1850 on the Loze sector. It is the 4th of 10 Slalom races scheduled on the 2025-2026 Alpine Ski World Cup calendar.

Mikaela Shiffrin Wins Alpine Ski World Cup Slalom in Gurgl for Back-To-Back Triumphs

After Levi, the next women's Alpine Ski World Cup Slalom will take place on Sunday, the 23rd, in Gurgl, Tyrol, Austria.

The 2025–2026 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Slalom season will begin with Women's and Men's races on the 'Levi Black' slope in Levi, Finland, on 15–16 November. Slalom is the oldest and most technically demanding competition in Alpine Skiing.
