Sara Hector Clinched Victory in the Giant Slalom at the Alpine Ski World Cup in Spindleruv Mlyn

Sara Hector returned today to the top of the podium in Giant Slalom for the first time this season. The 33-year-old Swedish skier celebrated her 8th Alpine Ski World Cup victory ahead of Paula Moltzan (+0.18). Mikaela Shiffrin finished in third place (+0.23), grabbing her first Giant Slalom podium finish in almost two years.

Hector achieved her fourth podium finish in her last five Giant Slalom races. Her most recent victory in the Alpine Ski World Cup occurred almost a year ago on January 4, 2025, in Kranjska Gora.


Julia Scheib, who did not finish the second run, leads the discipline standings with 560 points, 89 points ahead of Camille Rast (471). Sara Hector is in third place with 429 points.
