Twenty-three events in January 2026, including the Adelboden, Wengen, and Kitzbühel Classics, make this month one of the most exciting times on the Alpine Ski World Cup calendar. Adelboden, Wengen, and Kitzbühel are the only venues that have been part of the World Cup since its foundation in 1967.

The 72nd edition of the 3Tre Madonna di Campiglio Alpine Ski World Cup Night Slalom will conclude the Italian stretch of the Men's World Cup, which includes races in Val Gardena, Alta Badia, and Livigno.

The renowned Italian event will kick off the "Month of Slalom Classics" in the Men’s Alpine Ski World Cup calendar, featuring races in Adelboden, Wengen, Kitzbühel, and Schladming. January will be critical for those hoping to win the Slalom World Cup.

After the first 31 Alpine Ski World Cup races (16 out for Men and 15 for Women), Marco Odermatt leads the Men's Overall standings with 855 points ahead of Marco Schwarz (451) and Loic Meillard (380).

Mikaela Shiffrin is leading the women's standings with 698 points. Camille Rast of Switzerland is second with 503 points. Alice Robinson is in third place with 484 points.

In the Alpine Ski World Cup Nations Cup, Austria and Switzerland are in a tight fight this season. The Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) has achieved eight victories and 16 podium finishes.
