Loic Meillard achieved an impressive victory at the Giant Slalom event of the Alpine Ski World Cup in Schladming. He finished 0.73 seconds ahead of the first-run leader, Lucas Pinheiro Braathen. Alban Elezi Cannaferina claimed third place, finishing 0.90 seconds behind Meillard.

Sara Hector returned today to the top of the podium in Giant Slalom for the first time this season. The 33-year-old Swedish skier celebrated her 8th Alpine Ski World Cup victory ahead of Paula Moltzan (+0.18) and Mikaela Shiffrin (+0.23).

The Alpine Ski World Cup continues on 24 and 25 January in Spindleruv Mlyn with a Giant Slalom and a Slalom race.

Julia Scheib has achieved her fourth victory and sixth podium finish in the Giant Slalom for the 2025-2026 winter season. After finishing third in the first run, she delivered another master class, securing the best time in the second run. After seven races, Scheib boasts four wins and two second-place finishes. Camille Rast finished in second place, 0.37 seconds behind Scheib, while Sara Hector, the fastest skier in the first run, completed the podium, finishing 0.46 seconds
