The 22-year-old German rising star, who finished fifth in Friday's first Downhill, finished 0.24 seconds ahead of runner-up Lindsey Vonn, with Sofia Goggia 0.05 seconds further back in third.

Lindsey Vonn made a perfect start in the Alpine Ski World Cup speed season on the Corviglia racecourse in St. Moritz.
