Men will kick off the Downhill Alpine Ski World Cup season in Beaver Creek, USA, in December on the Birds of Prey slope. The Men's 2025 skiing weekend will conclude with a Giant Slalom on Sunday.
The original program scheduled two Downhills in Beaver Creek. But after a four-day delay in the snow control, Thursday's first Downhill race was canceled. Last Friday, the Men's Downhill race in Beaver Creek on 5 December was confirmed. However, the race will not be run on the entire "Birds of Prey" course. Unusually high temperatures and a lack of snow are forcing organizers to shorten the Downhill. The finish line will be higher up than usual, just after the "Golden Eagle" jump.
Following the races in Copper Mountain, the Women's Alpine Ski World Cup will move to Tremblant, Canada, for the first weekend in December. This picturesque Canadian ski resort will host two Giant Slalom races.
Following the speed events at Beaver Creek and Tremblant, both the Men’s and Women’s teams will return to Europe.
This winter "The Critérium de la Première Neige à Val d'Isère" celebrates its 70th anniversary. Since 1968, the event has been a key stop on the Alpine Ski World Cup calendar. The Men’s Giant Slalom and Slalom events will be held on December 13th and 14th at La Face de Bellevarde, one of the most iconic and challenging racecourses on the Alpine Ski World Cup Tour.
The world's fastest Women will gather in St. Moritz (Switzerland) for the first stop of the speed calendar. Two Downhill and a Super-G races are scheduled to take place in the Upper Engadine Valley on the World Championship course “Engiadina” on Corviglia. St. Moritz, a classic and a fixed date in the women's Ski World Cup calendar.
In December 2025, for the 15th year, the Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup returns to Courchevel with a Night Slalom in the technical slope of the Emile-Allais Stadium.
The 58th Saslong Classic in Val Gardena/Gröden will take place on the last weekend before Christmas. Val Gardena is home to the Saslong Classic, one of the iconic Men's World Cup Downhill races. The Saslong course is considered one of the five "classic" Men's Downhill races, along with Garmisch-Partenkirchen's Kandahar, Kitzbühel's Hahnenkamm, Wengen's Lauberhorn, and Val-d'Isère's Criterium de la Première Neige (FRA).
Following St. Moritz, the world's fastest Women will gather in Val d'Isère for the second stop of the speed calendar. The Women’s Downhill and Super-G events will be held on December 20th and 21st at the Oreiller-Killy slope.
After the speed races in Val Gardena, the Alpine Ski World Cup Tour will continue on the legendary Gran Risa slope in Alta Badia with a Slalom and a Giant Slalom.
Just over a month before the start of the Games, Livigno will host a Men’s Super-G World Cup race, a historic first for the resort.
Women will bid farewell to 2025 in Austria with the last two races of the year, a Giant Slalom and Slalom, in Semmering on December 28th and 29th. The inaugural Women's Alpine Ski World Cup races took place at Hirschenkogel in Semmering in December 1995.
