Laura Pirovano won the first of the two women's Downhill races in Val di Fassa today, celebrating her first Alpine Ski World Cup victory and podium. The 28-year-old Italian ski triumphed by the narrowest of margins, just 0.01 seconds ahead of Germany's Emma Aicher. Downhill Olympic champion Breezy Johnson finished in third place, 0.29 seconds behind.

Franjo Von Allmen and Federica Brignone claimed the titles of King and Queen of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games with three and two gold medals, respectively. Franjo von Allmen was a standout in the Men's speed events, winning gold in both the Downhill and Super-G. Alongside Tanguy Nef, he also secured victory in the Team Combined event. Federica Brignone led the home nation's success with two gold medals, winning both the women's Giant Slalom and the Super-G.

Ariane Raedler and Katharina Huber won the gold medal in the Team Combined event at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic Winter Games. Kira Weidle-Winkelmann and Emma Aicher took second place, finishing just 0.05 seconds behind the Austrians. The US team, comprising Jacqueline Wiles and Paula Moltzan, took the final podium spot, finishing 0.25 seconds behind the Austrian Team.
