Marco Odermatt secured his second victory in Kitzbuehel today. Following his win in the Super-G event last season, the 28-year-old secured his 53rd World Cup victory, his 17th in Super-G, and his 99th podium finish.

Only three skiers have stood atop the podium more often: two Austrians, Hermann Maier (54 wins) and Marcel Hirscher (67 wins), as well as the Swede Ingemar Stenmark (86 wins).

With this triumph, he now joins Aksel Lund Svindal and Renate Götschl in fourth place on the all-time list for World Cup Super-G wins. Lindsey Vonn holds the record with 28 Super-G victories, while Hermann Maier leads the Men's category with 24 wins. Teammate Franjo Von Allmen finished in second place just 0.03 seconds behind Odermatt. Austrian Stefan Rogentin rounded up the podium 0.25 seconds off the pace.

Marco Odermatt has finished in the Top 10 in his last 30 World Cup Super-G races, dating back to the event in Courchevel-Meribel in March 2022. During this period, he has secured 13 victories and 21 podium finishes.

The reigning three-time World Cup Super-G champion leads this season’s standings with 425 points, ahead of an Austrian trio of Vincent Kriechmayr (267), Stefan Babinsky (243), and Raphael Haaser (241). Only the Swiss skier and teammate Stefan Rogentin have finished inside the Top 10 of every World Cup Super-G race this 2025-2026 winter season.

"It was a close race, so I'm naturally satisfied. It really wasn't a flawless run; the top and the final section were good, but in the middle and the traverse I wasn't on the line I actually wanted to ski. I didn’t have a great feeling. I was surprised that the green light came on at the finish," said Odermatt.

Franjo von Allmen secured second place today in the Streif, marking his fifth podium finish in the last seven World Cup races. This impressive streak includes one victory in the second of two Val Gardena Downhill races, a second place in the first Val Gardena Downhill, and two third-place finishes in the Livigno and Wengen Super-G races.

"It was a good run, but Marco showed that it's possible to go faster. There were sections where I didn't go for the absolute maximum risk. But I'm happy with the result. The season has gone well so far. There have been a few bumps along the way, but you could already see in the preparation that the speed is there. Now I just have to bring it home and minimize the mistakes," Von Allmen said.

Stefan Babinsky achieved his second consecutive World Cup podium finish after claiming his first one in Wengen last week. The 29-year-old Austrian skier had previously recorded three fourth-place finishes in the Super-G at Cortina, Aspen, and Cooper Mountain, as well as another fourth place in the Downhill at Kitzbuehel.

The Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) team was on the podium in 22 of the 23 Super-G races held in Kitzbuehel.

"It was a good run, despite a small mistake, my skis caught an edge just before the finish; that certainly wasn't the fastest way to the finish. I did my job, and I'm very satisfied with my performance. The skiing was very good," Babinsky said.
