Dominik Paris won the last Alpine Ski World Cup Downhill of the season in Kvitfjell, finishing 0.19 seconds ahead of Switzerland's Franjo Von Allmen. Vincent Kriechmayr came in third, 0.60 seconds behind. It was his fifth Downhill victory in the challenging Olympiabakken. He has also won twice in the Super-G. With his seventh victory in Kvitfjell, the Italian equaled the record held by Norway's Kjetil Jansrud.

The 36-year-old speed specialist celebrated his 20th Downhill World Cup victory, making him the second-best Downhill skier of all time behind Franz Klammer, who celebrated a total of 25 Downhill victories in his career.

"It's really a surprise for me that I had such a good run today. I know you have to push from the top to the bottom, and you shouldn't be too hard on the skis, but look for a good line to bring the speed. It's very cool to race here. It's a nice course, it's not so easy to be fast, but I figured it out," Paris said.

The Swiss superstar, Marco Odermatt, who had already clinched his third straight Downhill Crystal Globe entering the Finals, finished seventh today.
