Laura Pirovano Wins the Downhill in Val di Fassa, securing back-to-back victories in the Alpine Ski World Cup
After claiming her first Alpine Ski World Cup win and podium yesterday, Laura Pirovano repeated at the top of the podium in Val di Fassa in a super close race. The 28-year-old Italian ski triumphed again by the narrowest of margins, just 0.01 seconds ahead of Austria's Cornelia Hütter. Corinne Suter finished in third place, 0.05 seconds behind.

Laura Pirovano won the first of the two women's Downhill races in Val di Fassa today, celebrating her first Alpine Ski World Cup victory and podium. The 28-year-old Italian ski triumphed by the narrowest of margins, just 0.01 seconds ahead of Germany's Emma Aicher. Downhill Olympic champion Breezy Johnson finished in third place, 0.29 seconds behind.
