Atle Lie McGrath won the Slalom event in Kranjska Gora. He claimed his third win and 6th Slalom World Cup podium of the season. The Norwegian finished 0.01 seconds ahead of teammate Henrik Kristoffersen. Former teammate Lucas Pinheiro Braathen took third place, 0.04 seconds behind.
McGrath has finished inside the Top-10 of every Slalom World Cup race he managed to finish since Gurgl in November 2024. He has claimed four wins and a total of eleven podiums during this streak, but also had seven DNFs along the way.
Atle Lie McGrath is leading the Slalom Alpine Ski World Cup standings after ten events with 552 points, 41 points ahead of Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, who finished 3rd today. Clement Noel is in third with 475 points. Henrik Kristoffersen is fourth with 453 points, 99 points behind McGrath.
Norway's second Slalom World Cup 1-2 of the season made Norway the only nation with a 1-2 during the two last seasons: Henrik Kristoffersen and Timon Haugan in Kranjska Gora 2024-2025, Henrik Kristoffersen and Atle Lie McGrath in Val d’Isere 2024-2025, Henrik Kristoffersen and Atle Lie McGrath in Schladming on January 2026, and a podium sweep in Wengen in 2024-2025 with Atle Lie McGrath in 1st, Timon Haugan in 2nd and Henrik Kristoffersen in 3rd.
