Vincent Kriechmayr wins the Alpine Ski World Cup Super-G in Beaver Creek in a dominant way. He delivered an absolutely fantastic run in extremely difficult conditions, finishing 0.56 seconds ahead of Norwegian Fredrik Moeller. Raphael Haaser rounded up the podium in third place, 1.03 seconds behind his teammate.

The race was marked by constant weather-related interruptions. After Loic Meillard (bib 31) DNF, the race was declared complete.

This is Kriechmayr's 19th World Cup victory, and his 10th in the Super-G. The 34-year-old Austrian skier is now leading the Super-G standings. Marco Odermatt finished today in 5th position, 1.23 seconds behind the winner.

With 24 podiums, Vincent Kriechmayr has now equalled Stephan Eberharter's record of the most podium finishes by an Austrian Men's World Cup Super-G skier. Hermann Maier tops the list with 38 Super-G World Cup podium finishes.

It is Kriechmayr's first victory in the Alpine Ski World Cup since the Super-G in Kvitfjell in February 2024.

"The victory has a bitter aftertaste. After Franjo’s crash, which I hope he’s okay, the skiers didn’t have quite the same conditions. But of course, I'm happy with my run and my performance. It would have been nicer in a fair race," said Kriechmayr.

After finishing in fifth place in the first Super-G of the season in Copper Mountain, Fredrik Moeller claimed his second World Podium. Previously, he has won the Super-G in Bormio. The 25-year-old Norwegian skier said Friday's weather conditions made the technically challenging course even more difficult.

"It was challenging the whole way, even the flat was challenging. The light and obviously the snow conditions made it tough. A really challenging day," Moeller said.

Raphael Haaser achieved his 7th career World Cup Super-G podium in Beaver Creek. He is yet to find his first win, but has five Top-5 finishes, including four podiums, in his past six Super-G races.

"I think the weather conditions were challenging. Every year it’s tough, but it’s good for us to come here, and I really enjoyed the race. I skied it yesterday in the Downhill, so it was a little bit easier. But I think for the guys who just do Super-G, you need a bit more confidence," Haaser said.
