Today in Soldeu, Emma Aicher claimed her fifth Alpine Ski World Cup win, and her third in the Super-G. The 22-year-old German rising star, who finished fourth in yesterday's Downhill race, finished 0.88 seconds ahead of runner-up Alice Robinson. Yesterday's Downhill winner Corinne Suter finished 0.98 seconds behind in third place.

It's her third victory and sixth podium in the 2025-2026 winter season. She won the Downhill event in St. Moritz in December and the Super-G in Tarvisio in January. She secured three third places in Slalom in Levi, Courchevel, and Spindleruv Mlyn. Aicher is the only skier competing in the four disciplines.

Ricarda Haaser crashed today in Soldeu and suffered a knee injury. An X-ray examination revealed a fracture of the left tibial plateau. The Tyrolean skier was transported to Austria for further treatment.

With today's victory, Emma Aicher moved up from seventh into third place in the Super-G standings. Sofia Goggia leads with 320 points. Alice Robinson is second with 300, and Emma Aicher is third, 96 points behind (224).

Aicher has made notable progress in the Overall standings, now trailing Mikaela Shiffrin by 299 points and Camile Rast by 129 points. There are four speed races scheduled over the next eight days, before the USA and Swiss skiers are expected to return to competition.
