Àliga. Soldeu El Tarter 2023 Finals Racecourse

The Àliga racecourse in El Tarter will host the Women’s and Men's Downhill and Super-G events at the Soldeu El Tarter 2023 Finals.

Grandvalira has hosted competitions such as the Europa Cup and World Cup on several occasions. Initially, these top-level events took place on the Avet slope in the Soldeu sector. Since the 2014 European Cup Finals the Àliga track hosts the speed events.

On Tuesday 13 March, the Àliga slope, located in the sector of El Tarter in Grandvalira, hosted the first two races of the 2019 Alpine Ski World Cup Finals in Andorra: the Men’s and Women’s Downhill. It was the first time that the Pyrenees have hosted a World Cup Men’s Downhill race. The winner was Dominik Paris (ITA). A day later Paris won the Super-G, a victory that earned him his first and only Crystal Globe.

In the women’s category the winner of the Downhill was Austrian Mirjam Puchner. Puchner delivered the surprise performance of the day to return to the top step of the podium for the second time in her career and the first time in three years following an injury.

The winner of the Super-G was Germany’s Viktoria Rebensburg.
