Leading the group of top female skiers in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup is Mikaela Shiffrin, a record-holder with more than 100 victories. Federica Brignone and Lara Gut-Behrami, along with Lindsey Vonn, round out the group of active skiers in this elite selection.

The 2025–2026 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Slalom season will begin with Women's and Men's races on the 'Levi Black' slope in Levi, Finland, on 15–16 November. Slalom is the oldest and most technically demanding competition in Alpine Skiing.

Erika Hess won 6 World Championship gold medals between 1982 and 1987 and took bronze in the Slalom at the 1980 Winter Olympics at age 17.
